Tsuyoshi Taira is the Chief Executive Officer of Tazan International Inc., a successful investment and consulting corporation based out of Silicon Valley. Prior to his present position, Mr. Taira was employed by Sanyo Semiconductor Corporation (USA) from 1986 to 1996, where he served as President from 1986 to 1993 and Chairman from 1993 to 1996. He is an investor in numerous successful technology companies, including Junglee, a research engine acquired by Amazon; Tripath, a DSL semiconductor company listed on the Nasdaq; Armedia, a developer of MPEG2 semiconductors sold to Broadcom; Silicon Motion, a producer of wireless semiconductors and Xpeed, DSL CPE developer.
