Professor Chia-Wei Woo is Senior Advisor to Hong Kong's Shui On Group. He was the founding President of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He was the first Chinese-American to head a major university in the US as President of San Francisco State University. Professor Woo has published 120 papers and books in various fields of physics. Professor Woo currently serves on the Boards of Synergis Holdings Ltd as a Non-Executive Director and Non-Executive Chairman. He also serves on the Boards of First Shanghai Investments Ltd, IDT International Ltd, Lenovo Group Limited, and Shanghai Industrial Holdings Ltd as a Non-Executive Director.
